What Are the Best Sparklers for Weddings? Our Complete Guide
Share
Sparklers have become incredibly popular at weddings, and it's easy to see why. Whether you're planning a sparkler send-off, wedding entrance, sparkler tunnel or simply want some fantastic photographs, they can create one of the most memorable moments of the day.
But what are the best sparklers for a wedding?
For us, the answer is simple. By far and away our most popular wedding sparklers are our 45cm Monster Sparkler range.
The extra length and long-lasting effect make 45cm sparklers particularly suitable for weddings, especially when you have a large number of guests to organise and photograph.
And there's much more choice than just the traditional gold sparkler.
45cm Monster Golden Sparklers – The Classic Choice
If you want the traditional sparkler look, our 45cm Monster Golden Sparklers are difficult to beat.
They produce the classic bright golden spark that most people associate with sparklers and look fantastic in wedding photographs.
For couples who want a simple, traditional wedding sparkler with a great effect, these remain one of our most popular choices.
45cm Gold Painted Wedding Sparklers – Made for the Big Day
For something a little more special, we offer our 45cm Monster Wedding Sparklers.
These produce the traditional golden spark, but the actual sparkler is painted gold, giving it a much more attractive appearance before it is even lit.
It's a small detail, but at a wedding the details matter. If your sparklers are being handed out to guests, displayed in wedding sparkler buckets or incorporated into your table decorations, the gold finish gives them that extra-special wedding look.
If you're looking for a classic wedding sparkler with a premium appearance, these would be our recommendation.
45cm Monster Crackling Sparklers – Add Some Noise!
Want something a little different?
Our 45cm Monster Crackling Sparklers don't just sparkle – they add a fun audible crackling effect too.
They're a great option if you want your sparkler moment to have a little more energy and atmosphere.
You still get the spectacle of a large 45cm sparkler, but with the added excitement of a crackling effect.
45cm Fatso Sparklers – Bigger, Thicker and Rose Gold
If you're looking for something with a bit more presence, take a look at our 45cm Fatso Sparklers.
Fatso Sparklers are extra thick, with additional sparkler composition producing a bigger spark than a conventional sparkler.
They're also painted Rose Gold, making them particularly attractive for weddings.
Rose gold remains an extremely popular wedding colour, so these look fantastic before they're lit as well as producing an impressive effect once they're burning.
For couples looking for something a little more luxurious and substantial, Fatso is a great choice.
45cm Monster Neon Sparklers – Add Some Colour
Not every wedding has to be traditional.
Our 45cm Monster Neon Sparklers contain five different coloured effects, making them perfect for couples who want to introduce some colour and fun into their wedding celebrations.
They're particularly suited to colourful, contemporary weddings where you want something different from the traditional golden sparkler.
There is, however, one thing worth considering when choosing coloured sparklers: they can produce a degree of smoke.
That's perfectly normal, but it's worth remembering if your main reason for buying sparklers is photography. If getting the cleanest possible sparkler photographs is your priority, you may prefer one of our traditional golden-effect sparklers.
45cm Traffic Light Sparklers – Gold, Red and Green
Another fun alternative is our 45cm Monster Traffic Light Sparklers.
These colour-changing sparklers start gold, change to red and then finish green.
It's a brilliant effect and something completely different from a conventional wedding sparkler.
They're particularly good if you're looking for a sparkler that will surprise your guests – what initially appears to be a normal sparkler suddenly begins changing colour as it burns.
As with other coloured sparklers, however, bear in mind that the colour-producing composition can create some smoke.
Want Something REALLY Big? Try Our 70cm Gigantic Sparklers
Our 45cm Monster range has traditionally been the favourite for weddings, but another sparkler is rapidly becoming extremely popular – our 70cm Gigantic Sparklers.
And when we say gigantic, we mean it.
At 70cm long, these sparklers are absolutely enormous.
They're silver painted and produce a spectacular golden spark, combining an attractive appearance with a very impressive effect when lit.
If you're creating a large wedding sparkler tunnel or want something that will really stand out in photographs, the 70cm Gigantic Sparkler is well worth considering.
For couples who believe bigger is better, this is the one.

Why Are 45cm Sparklers So Good for Weddings?
One of the biggest advantages of a longer sparkler is time.
At a wedding you may have 50, 100 or considerably more guests to organise. Everyone needs to be in position, the sparklers need to be lit and your photographer needs enough time to capture the moment.
This is why we generally recommend longer sparklers for wedding photographs, sparkler tunnels and send-offsrather than smaller everyday sparklers.
The 45cm size offers an excellent combination of size, effect and practicality, which is why our Monster range continues to be our most popular choice for weddings.
Don't Forget How You're Going to Light Them
If you're buying 100 wedding sparklers, you'll also need to think about how you're going to get 100 sparklers lit!
Sparklers need a good source of ignition and aren't always easy to light with ordinary matches or disposable lighters, particularly outside.
We recommend using portfires or good-quality windproof lighters, applying the ignition source to the very tip of the sparkler.
For a large wedding, don't try to light every sparkler individually. Instead, designate around 10% of your guests as initial sparkler lighters. Light their sparklers first and then allow the other guests to use those burning sparklers as additional lighting points.
This can make getting a large group ready for a photograph considerably quicker.
